Sometimes we present or commission on-site or off-site projects with artists, students and community partners. These are typically one-time events and not recurring activities like our programs.

Welcome to My Happy Place

 Welcome to My Happy Place is an exhibition curated by Rose, a fifth grader at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School and Dr. Kiara “Kiki” Hill, a professor in the School of Art + Design at PSU. This exhibition was curated at the Littman Gallery at PSU. See more >>

KSMoCA: Present Days Exhibit at The Portland Building

This display includes a selection of previous artworks and comments by Lomarion, a fifth-grader at the school on the Student Curatorial Committee, and a selection of new pieces from the KSMoCA Mentorship Program. See more >>

HARRIET TUBMAN CENTER FOR EXPANDED CURATORIAL PRACTICE

This curatorial project worked with Harriet Tubman Middle School students who learned about various curatorial approaches that include working with visual art, performance, public art, historical materials, social practice as well as writing and critical assessment of contemporary art and culture. Ralph Pugay: A long Line of Impartial Jurors

A Long Line of Non-Partial Jurors is a mural created by Ralph Pugay and middle school leadership students on the topic of justice. It is installed in front of the new courthouse building and can be viewed along the pedestrian walkway along the SW Main Street entrance to the Hawthorne Bridge until early 2020. See more >>

KSMoCA Retrospective at the Portland Children's Museum
