Prismacolor on wall
Jim Hodges sent us a series of instructions and a set of Prismacolor pencils to create a wall drawing for our permanent collection. Principal Jill Sage measured and recorded each Dr. MLK Jr. School student, staff, and faculty member in this drawing. Participants selected a favorite color from the colored pencils set to have their name, height, and date of measuring written on the wall. Every student in the school was included in this artwork, which has become a de-facto portrait of faculty, staff and students who were here during the 2017-2018 school year.
The project is permanently installed in the hallway near the office.
