November 29, 2018 - March 9, 2019
This inaugural exhibition of the MLK Jr. Gallery is a collection of various drawings, paintings, and collages found in the KSMoCA archives. These never before exhibited artworks were created by students at MLK Jr. School throughout the last four years, and they represent the creativity and imagination of our favorite artists—our classmates! Many of the pieces are anonymous, so please let us know if you have art in the show.
Curated by Diana, Isaiah, Rhema, Ana, and Lewii.
The MLK Jr Gallery was established in 2018 by five MLK Jr. School students as part of the King School Museum of Contemporary Art. Its rotating exhibitions are curated by students at the school and feature work by current and former students as well as adult artists.
